Love, happiness, hope! Wordless Wednesday w/Linky

I have had a rough last week, my blog was in the group that was infected with malware though an ad, google blacklisted my site, a dear friend had complications with her cancer, another dear friend found out she had a lump in her thyroid, and to that goes the stress of
everyday life, money, relationships.
Needless to say I have been a bit down.

Today, I went outside with the kids, and a hummingbird came right by my face; I screamed thinking it was a bee!  The hummingbird kept flying around me, then would go have a snack in the flowers and would keep coming up to me!!!

I took as many pictures as I could, placing my camera right by it, and it would not go away!

One time it came up to look at my phone, I guess it was wondering what the clicking sound was (from my camera) and it flew in one spot, looking in my lens,; and even pecked or kissed it!

It flew away after staring at me for a few seconds, like saying "bye!"

I was SO happy, I remember my Grandma used to tell me that hummingbirds were good luck, meant love, and the best part was that she would tell me that if she could come back as an animal; it would be a hummingbird.

Now I'm not saying that it was my grandma (though part of me wishes to believe it), but I am saying that it made me smile, it made my heart SO happy.  I felt it in my spirit, I laughed out loud, I told the kids and showed them the pictures; it reminded me that no matter how bad my days are...
There is still beauty everywhere we look ;)

Enjoy the beauty that I saw...

Have a Wordless (or not so wordless) Wednesday post you want to share? Link up!

  1. Life certainly has its ups and downs. This is an awesome post. I am glad you saw this hummingbird and got some shots which lifted your spirit. I hope you will have some good times. Thanks for hosting and all the very best to you.

  2. I hope your week gets better.

I still need to find that lucky charm. My grandma passed away a few wks ago and now my nephew is in the hospital. Things can only get better when it's difficult.

  3. Here's hoping things go much better this week! Sending good thoughts to you and your friends!

  4. Sorry your week was rough, but those are some lovely shots you got of the hummingbird!

  5. THAT is an awesome story. I have never heard of a hummingbird....or any bird for that matter doing something like that. I think if it brings you comfort to think it may be your Grandmother's spirit, than go with it. Hope your days start looking brighter.

  6. Ok, super cool about that hummingbird! I can't imagine one ever coming so close. I love the reminder of your grandma!

  7. I've never even seen a hummingbird! I'm so glad that you were able to find something so simple and so lovely to help you feel better :)

  8. A hummingbird is far better than a woodpecker. We have a woodpecker that won't go away, he's about to drive my husband batty. :)

  9. i love hummingbirds... :-)
I hope that youll have an awesome week!!!

  10. I hope things get better for those you mentioned.

    Loved your Grandma story :-)

    Best wishes for the future

  11. That is wonderful. I would think just like you did, that that was some type of sign that better days are ahead...sorry to hear of your sad news, but loved the story about the humming bird. Thanks for the linky! Have a great week.

  12. I can't say that I've ever seen a hummingbird. The one you captured is beautiful.

  13. We have a 6th sense in our family and when there is trouble my grandmother often comes to me in a dream. I wear her pearls to all of the family functions. She left us over 25 years ago but I still have a strong affinity. Rainbows are also lucky and come into my life when I need them most. My mother also loves hummingbirds. Thanks for the pictures and hopefully this week will be better than last.

  14. Hang in there sweetie! I can tell by your blog you are loved! Tough days come to us all but in the end, love is all that matters!

  15. I know that it's so horrible to have your blog down. My computer has been giving me so much trouble lately. Hope this week is better for you.

  16. Sorry to hear about your site blacklisted and your rough week! Hope this one is better!

  17. Thanks very much for sharing your great hummingbird pictures!

Sorry your week has been so rocky...sending you every good thought, wish, & prayer that you feel better & that it gets better for you.

  18. I think animals and birds too can sense when we're not feeling great and this little hummingbird was probably trying to cheer you up and brighten your day! Hope your week gets better!

  19. I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rough time right now. I'll be praying for your friends! That is a beautiful shot of the humming bird! Thanks for linking up with Pea of Sweetness!
