Breaking News: Hot off the presses! Disney has just announced
The Sequel to Marvel's The Avengers!!!
The Sequel to Marvel's The Avengers!!!
Why does this require a post?!? How doesn't it?! My Family
was standing for a few hours awaiting the midnight release of Marvel's The Avengers movie. Not only did we get a few comments from nosey people, who felt the need to tell us how unfit we were as parents to have our children there, BUT WE HAD A GREAT TIME!!!! Definitely one of the BEST MOVIES WE HAVE EVER SEEN! (sorry for screaming, I'm excited!)
As you can imagine, I had to break this kind of epicness to my kids first. and this is how it went...
I called my kids to the living room and said "I have some breaking news... but first a question. What would you say if I told you The Avengers were going to be in another movie?" The 8yo screamed "Avengers Assemble!!!" and the kids cheered ;)
As Disney has just released the preliminary Press release, we now know that the sequel will be ready to hit theaters with a "POW!" on May 1, 2015. How's THAT for May-Day news!?? ;)
Here's a snippet of the release...
SEQUEL TO MARVEL’S THE AVENGERS TO HIT THEATERS MAY 1, 2015
The Walt Disney Studios has announced a release date for Marvel Studios’ sequel to the biggest Super Hero blockbuster and third highest grossing film of all time, Marvel’s The Avengers. Joss Whedon returns to write and direct the UNTITLED MARVEL’S AVENGERS SEQUEL set for release May 1, 2015.
The stinky part? We have to wait so incredibly long for it, as my 8yo (and the biggest Avengers fan I know) said "3 years is going to feel LIKE A MILLION!" ;)
I know that many things connect differently with kids and Adults in general, for us; our 8 & 12 yo's have a connection and relationship to comics. Marvel comics are a part of who they are, how they express themselves, how they interact. It's a sense of pride to them, and me, that my children can hold a conversation with other adults on the same level. (Autism, Aspergers)
So there you have it, will we see where the crew went to party after they ate Shawarma? Will we camp out for the release?! OF COURSE!!! No doubt in my mind, there are a few things that are special in the minds of kids, and I am honored to say that my kids say "Mommy rocks!" because I take them to midnight shows ;) It's all about the memories people!!
So tell me, just how excited are you about the sequel to The Avengers?! Who do you think will be in it? Anyone you CAN'T wait to see (like Thor)?! Will Ant Man, Wasp, Black Panther, Scarlete Witch, Vision, or Quick Silver be in it?!?

I guess my favorite part was when Hulk was flinging Loki back and forth and then said "Stupid Demi God" Or something to that affect, also I love the scene at the end where they are all eating shwarma, so funny!
ReplyDeleteI loved the whole movie the best is that Mark Ruffolo came from my town.
ReplyDeleteI love the part when all the Avengers end up in Stark tower and Hulk gives Loki a beating!
