We were SO lucky to have attended an advanced screening of Cars 2... #Cars2

Last Friday our Family had the privileged of being invited to an advanced screening of Disney Pixar's Cars 2 in 3D.
and yes we were SO excited, we got to see the movie before the the swanky people from the Hollywood premier ((giggles))  Major Happy dance!!!

The movie was absolutely fun!  It was well worth the long wait.  The graphics were amazing.  Tokyo, Paris, Radiator Springs, and all the international espionage that goes on during all of that travel just had my kids on the edge of their seats!!!

Judy Moody and the NOT so bummer summer...

Our Family was lucky enough to be invited to a special advanced screening of Judy Moody and the NOT so bummer summer on June 4th.  Having two girls in our house, Judy Moody books have been read here, so we were excited to watch the movie.
It was a great experience for all of us.  Since we first arrived we were all treated to doughnuts, and all the kids received some pretty cool Judy Moody swag!

My Daughter at a talent show
(My own Judy Moody)
The movie was just as I pictured, Judy was a character just like my 8 year old daughter, the moodiness ;) the bright colored wardrobe, the outrageous ideas!  So it was a treat watching the movie as I pictured my daughter through it all.

Disney Tangled in 3D advanced screening...

Last week my Family was invited to attend an advanced screening of Disney's Tangled in 3D.  Needless to say we were thrilled, though I had a little bit of doubt regarding my 5 & 7y.o boys, I was obviously proven wrong, by said boys.  We arrived and the kids were so excited about the giant lobby posters, they were posing for pictures and it only made the excitement for the movie all the bigger.

The movie was in 3D, so that already is exciting right?
As always my 5y.o sits next tome and it's the dearest thing in the world to hear his giggles, chuckles, and to see him reaching out for the objects.  I wish I could show you ;)

Believe it or not, I have never seen Rapunzel, so I didn't have anything to compare this movie too, but I LOVED IT!

The story line was great, the graphics are amazing!!!!  There were jokes, and music, as well as everything else in between.  I have to be careful so I don't ruin the movie for you ;)  I truly enjoyed watching this movie, now as I mentioned it was an advanced screening, the actual movie will not be released until November 24, 2010.

Make sure you take your Family to watch it, I promise you will LOVE it just as much!!!

My 10 year old Daughter wrote a post about the advanced screening as well, check it out, she gives a little more description about the plot http://bit.ly/cqLJRF

Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole

On Sat Sept 18, 2010 My Family attended the Premier Pre-Screening for the movie Legend of the Guardians: The Owls of Ga'Hoole which is based on the books by Kathryn Lasky and is the animation debut of Zack Snyder. In the movie Soren is a young owl who is in love with the adventures his Father tells him and his siblings about The Guardians of Ga'Hoole, a mythical band of warrior owls and how they won the battle against the Pure Ones and saved all of the owlkind.
Now don't worry, I won't give the movie away, so feel free to read the rest of the post without fear ;)
I have to first tell you, after seeing the previews for this movie it looked so exciting, then as the movie got closer to release date, I was skeptical about seeing a movie solely about owls; boy was I wrong!!!

The movie was so incredibly done, the story line was great, the kids loved the story in itself, and can I tell you about the graphics!?!?
Of ALL the animated movies I  have seen to date, I completely without a second thought, name this movie the BEST EVER when it comes to the graphics!!  I purposely looked for faults and parts where the characters would look too computerized.  I found NONE!!  Look at the way the Father is looking at his kids...
If you  when you watch this movie you are going to be amazed!  I can tell you that it looked like the real thing, like if they were real owls talking!
Do you see what I am talking about when I tell you that it is a complete masterpiece?
My Husband and I LOVED the movie!!
So go ahead and have a wonderful time with your Family, the movie will be released to the Public on September 24, 2010
Can you just picture what I am talking about, but in 3D IMAX?!
Check out the website so you can see what I'm talking about, then on Friday GO!!!
oh yeah, by the way, the kid's loved the movie as well ;)

My Family was neither compensated nor bribed for this review, we were just allowed to attend the premier ;)

The Alpha and Omega 3D Movie Premier...

Today My Family attended The Alpha and Omega Movie Premier in 3D IMAX, and WE LOVED IT!!
The great cast consisted of Justin Long, Hayden Panettiere, Christina Ricci, Danny Glover, The Late Great Dennis Hopper, Larry Miller, Eric Price, Chris Carmack, Vicki Lewis, Brian Donovan, Kevin Sussman.

The graphics were amazing! The storyline was beautiful! The action scenes were so funny! Simply put, everything about the movie was wonderful!
Although some scenes reminded me of other movies I have seen, Disney's The Lion King was one of them, it was just an all around great and fun-filled time.

Either way, I guarantee that you will love this movie!
All of my children sat through the entire movie, the Forrest scenes were just beautiful! My 5 year old would scream, gasp, and reach out for flying objects, it was such a wonderful experience!!!

Without a doubt it's a must see in my book.  During the credits, there is a
In Memory of
Dennis Hopper
note, and it brought tears to my eyes, he was such a wonderful actor and talented artist, he is missed ;)

Alpha and Omega 3D IMAX opens publicly on September 17, 2010.
Go to their official movie website and see what all the fun is about ;)
