The rainbow at the end of the bad day... WW w/LINKY

Welcome to another Wordless or NOT so Wordless Wednesday!!!
Thank you for stopping by, I DO appreciate you!

If you have been following me lately, you have read about what has been happening in my personal life lately, and it has been no field trip at all ;)

So this Friday I was having a bad day, I was in physical pain from the Fibro and R.A., I had been dealing with kids being sick in the two week period; to top it off my 13 y.o Daughter sprained her neck during baskeball practice and was on "forced rest"...
I was feeling it big time.
I thought for a few minutes what a bad Mom I would be if I took the kids to Chuck E. Cheese for a much needed break...
keep in mind that it was 9:30 p.m.

I decided that the kids and I NEEDED a break, right then and there!

So I told them to grab coats and out we went (C.E.C. closes at 11p.m).  They each had $3 to spend on their tokens, and I knew that Chucky does his Chucky shuffle at 10:00 p.m, and last one at 10:30p.m.  As we got there the shuffle was being announced and Ant (7 y.o) asks:
"Mommy, do you want us to go dance so you can join?"
Me: "yes hunny, I would love it!"

So my two boys (7 & 9 y.o) went to follow Chucky.
As soon as the boys started laughing and getting in line, I forgot about ALL of my problems!
For the rest of the night that we were there, I felt so refueled by watching the kids enjoy themselves.

It's amazing to see and feel what a child's laughter does to your soul!

Here's a small video of them doing the Cupid Chucky Shuffle ;)

  1. Glad the outing helped you guys that night. Remember your kids are happy and healthy and it's ok for mom to need a break. The remember how you make them feel not what u do or what they don't have. They felt love and happiness being somewhere with you watching them You created a wonderful memory! Hang in there mama!

  6. You and the kids defintely needed that and there is no shame at all! I mean, think about it, Chuck E. Cheese is open until 11, so other parents must be in the same boat! Hoping things turn around soon for you and keep smiling!!!

  9. Oh, wow! We went to Chuck E. Cheese for the first time last year for my twin nieces' birthday party. My little one was 3 at the time and was SO excited. When Chuck E. Cheese came out, she was SO scared and hid under the table, crying!!! Totally not what we expected! LOL!

  10. Great place to have fun and get your mind off of things. We took our daughter there for her 5th birthday and have decided it will be a tradition to take them all their (the younger 3) when they turn 5.

  19. CEC is not only a place where a kid can be a kid, it's a place where adults can let loose and forget about their cares for a bit too. Glad you had fun!
