Trash to Treasure - Saturday Craft Activities in April

In celebration of Earth Month, SEA LIFE hosts an eco craft activity every Saturday in April. Help give new life to items that may have been headed to the landfill. One man's trash is another man's treasure!
4/10 (10am-4pm): Design your own Shadow Puppet Stage from cardboard boxes
4/14 (10am-4pm): Bring a jellyfish to life from an egg carton
4/24 (10am-4pm): Shark Puppets spring into action from plastic bags
Trash To Treasure craft activity included with admission to SEA LIFE Aquarium.

In our visits to SeaLife, there has NEVER been a single thing we didn't love ;)

Something fun to do tomorrow... for free!

Ok, so how many of you know what Lowe's is?

A home building supply store right?

Did you know that on selected saturdays they have FREE building activities for kids?

This saturday they are doing a coin bank activity.  I believe it's too late to sign up online, but call your local Lowes and if there is room, you can show up.

Every saturday the first 50 kids (i have never seen more than 15 at a time) get a free kids apron,  goggles and tools.

Just go to their website
It's that easy, I signed up my kids, and since daddy has to work all day tomorrow, I figured we would have a fun day out.  I have another place I was asked to go review so I will take advantage that they are close to each other; I will post about it later ;)

Next event they have is for January 23, 2010 the project will be a Tic Tac Toe box

I just signed up my kids for that as well.

I hope you take advantage of this fun activity.

I recieved no compensation, I was asked to blog about it and review the program, in exchange for them tolerating my kids during the event ;)

Michaels Craft store deal!

Michael's has a printable coupon for 25% your ENTIRE regular purchase, yes you read it, ENTIRE purchase.

Coupon is valid ONE day only though, so make sure you take advantage of this wonderful offer...

January 1, 2010 is the only day the coupon is valid, what a great way to start the 2010 shopping season ;)

(in no way was I compensated for this post, your savings is payment enough, giggles)

THE PUMPKIN PATCH!!!

daddy woke up early this morning, to be at mision bay at 8am for his weigh in and measurements. i was proud of him, cause i know he was so soar and tired. he was supposed to go for an hour but while he was there since he couldn't run like everyone else; after dave told him he could go, he went on his own to the gym, and got on the elyptical machine. yes, i am still proud of him.

today, as every weekend the kids and i woke up late. will was upposed to have been home before 10 am, becaue we had to go to a pumpkin patch event, but got home a little after 10am. lucky for him, i had the times wrong, and the event didn't start til 2pm. yes, like always, it took us 3 hours to get fed and dressed and out of the house, lol.

after running late, like always!, we made it. it was in lakeside, we had a beautiful drive through the mountains, of course that was after the 15 minutes of freeway, lol. i made the kids carry sweaters because i thought it would get cold, but i was wrong. go figure, me wrong?!??! what were the chances of that happening?? lol
the cool thing was that i found my camera yesterday, so i knew i was going to have a picture filled day.

we signed in, and the kids started with their crafts. they colored their own trick or treat bags, and got masks. it looked like will was more into it than the kids, lol.
after that, we did everything there was to do. they played milk bottle bowling, they went through a maze, played basket ball. went to the petting zoo, but the coolest things of all were the hayride, and the mountains of cottonseed for sledding!!!!!!! even will tried to sled down, but he fell and rolled down the hill, i mised the pic oportunity. it was o cool to see them play, it was like now, lol. the hay ride wa awesome!! they showed us through the whole farm and dairy. it's a 3rd generation owned and operated business. they had a cow that gave birth an hour before we got there, and 3 the night before. they have a whole ection of cows that are all pregnant and are all due in 1 day to 4 weeks. they have a methane plant, where they turn the cow manure into electricity, they use that electricity for the whole farm, dairy, and the houses on the property. it was all soo cool, and at the end the kids picked their pumpkins nad we bought a loaf of homemade pumpkin loaf. we are going to try it tomorrow.

i took soo many pictures that they didn't fit into one slide show, so i made 9. lol yes, 9 slide shows, hope you enjoy, cause i loved it!!!
