From Ca-NY, from 2011-2012, from smiles to tears... to high hopes!!!

New Years Eve in NY City, our 1st NYE in the NYC, lol.  As I had planned to initially be in Time Square for NYE 2011, we decided to spend it with the Family in Central Park.  The Midnight Run, both of our aunts were running in the race so the entire Family met up there to support.
It was an amazing thing to see Families running together, celebrating the new year, and most of all; it was amazing to be there with my babies, to "shoo-away" the old yucky year that did us so wrong...

As the year 2011 drew to a close, I hugged my tween daughter extra tight, midnight hit and the fireworks in NYC hit in full effect

a quick check-in from New York ;)

So here I am, weeks later and finally have a chance to blog; or semi-blog since im SO tired ;)

As you guessed we're in NY, been here for over 1 week and we are suffering with the time change lol. WOW! For someone who used to go to bed between 3-6am in California, it's killing me. I end up going to sleep around 9am in Cali time ;/
For two days i have been making sure i wake up at 8 am (NY time) and stay awake without a nap. I also have been outside playing with the kids and taking them to the park. Trust me, we all need to submit to the time change lol. I have been worn out and by midnight i am starting to feel drained. Hoping sleep follows soon.

New York as expected is very different from San Diego, Ca. From the weather to the atmosphere its something that will take me a while to get used too. I miss MY San Diego, MY friends, MY Family, My world ;(
Everything is so foreign to me out here, the guy at the pizza shop said it will take me 3 months before i start to pick up the accent lol.

I miss you all, i miss reading blogs, and chatting up a storm with my friends; but hoping I will be back full time soon ;)

An emergency vacation to Disney, BlogHer11 & moving to NY; ALL in 3 wks!

In the spirit of making sure my husband pleases me enough to want to stay married to him during our move to NY, he decided to surprise the entire Family with an "emergency" vacation. How cute right? ;D

IT'S OUR 1st VACATION TOGETHER AS A FAMILY EVER!!!!!
Financially we were never able to afford anything like this, not even for all of us to go to one amusement park all at the same time, but THANKFULLY we are BLESSED enough at this time to finally have a real vacation ;)
even during vacation they get labeled!!!

When the thought of surgery keeps you up... literally!

So it's 4am and I'm supposed to be asleep, not for any regular night full of rest; but for my 7am surgery appointment.   Yet, I can't sleep, not even the valium that was prescribed has knocked me out, lol.  I have too many things to do and to think of before I am consumed with pain for days, without even the slightest "want" to be social... then again, I am such a chatterbox that I might be back tonight ;D
If you want a quick update on why I'm having surgery, read my post here, nerve wrecking to say the least right?!?!  Who do you know that has ever practiced smiling?!?!? ;)

Today is my surgery & I will be gone for a bit...

My surgery was postponed to June 14th Tues. due to my blood pressure lol ;)
I know I should be asleep right now, resting on the nice little pillow of valium the Doc prescribed for me.  He thought it would calm me down enough do I could sleep the night before my surgery, HA!

Not sure yet if the joke is on him or on me, but I'm up, awake, scared, excited and wired!!! ;)  Not on valium silly, I never even took it, I am just wide awake with an energy I haven't had in months.  What's my surgery about you ask?
