SO FRESH AND SO CLEAN CLEAN..... HAMPTON INN STYLE

Last month
I was invited by The Hampton Inn & Suites to a WONDERFUL Dinner, Night's stay, and an even BETTER "Make your own Waffle" Breakfast, so I could see their new campaign, "Clean & Fresh".  Let me tell you...I'm SOLD!
No more bringing a sleeping bag to sleep on.
No more needing a black light to seek out nasty stains.
No more worrying about who slept in the bed the day before you.
Why? You ask...

Repeat CSN customer because I love them...

I had such a great experience with The CSN stores last time, that I wanted to share with you again why I love them.
As you all know, out of our 6 kids, I have 2 girls, and we have never let them have a "girly" room because they were not responsible enough.  Now at 10 & 8 yrs old, I finally get to give them a girl room, and one of the things I was most excited about is their vanity.  As a little girl, I had a vanity and my own bedroom set, a girly-girl to the bone, and I am pleased to say that at least one of the girls is just as girly as I was, the oldest one is pretty much a tomboy like myself ;)

When hubby gave me the okay to buy them the vanity for their room, I knew that The CSN stores were my first choice.  I went to www.justvanities.com and found the perfect one!!!
isn't it just beautiful?!?!?

If you have not shopped from any of their 200+ online stores, you are surely missing out, they have free shipping on almost everything I love ;)

Do yourself, your home, and your wallet a favor, and check them out!!!!

Once i receive my our vanity, I will post a review so you can see what I have done ;)

Let's loose weight & help feed America at the same time!!!!

Have you been thinking about loosing weight lately, but have lacked the motivation?
I am not going to lie, for years I have danced around and complained about my weight gains, but never was able to get myself motivated enough, well, thanks to Kroger Family of stores, and The Biggest Looser, we can ALL participate in the Pound for pound challenge and loose weight, while helping feed America!!!

You haven't heard about the pound for pound challenge? Don't worry, I will be more than happy to overflow your screen with all the details ;)
The pound for pound challenge is a program that was created to both motivate your weight loss and healthy lifestyle, but also to help end hunger in America.
For every pound you pledge to loose before June 30, 2010, The pound for pound challenge will donate .14 cents to Feeding America; enough to deliver one pound of groceries to a food bank because of you ;)

These last few days I have been feeling very bad about my weight gain, being at the Nursing home with my Grampa for almost 2 months, everyday, has taken a toll on my body.  I sit all day and night with him, I drink soda all day long and eat once a day if that.  My only walking is going from the parking lot in the morning, and wheeling my Grampa to Therapy everyday.  So when I read about this pound for pound challenge, and reading that I can get tips and support towards my healthier lifestyle and weight loss, I will also be helping so many Americans by having .14 cents donated to Feeding America for every pound I pledge to loose.

So get it together, let's do this, together we can all start today, start a healthier lifestyle, loose weight, create a lasting bond of support, and best of all: help end hunger in America!!!!

Will you join me???
I weighed myself last week, I am 153 pounds and for my height of 5'2", the BMI calculator says I am overweight.  So, I have decided to pledge loosing 23 pounds, the awesome part is that there is no time limit to loose the weight, the only time limit is to pledge before June 30, 2010.
Pledge with me!!!

As a Thank you, and an initiation to a healthier lifestyle, the Kroger Family of stores is giving one of my readers a $30 Dllr gift card.
Woo-Hoooo!!! right? ;)

Joey Junior Purse organizer review/giveaway ;)

Ok, so picture this:
I LOVE purses!!!

I also have 6 +1 kids, and I carry my "stuff", phone, camera, batteries, emergency crayons (yes I said it, lol), candy, headache medicine, and everything else I took away from the kids that week, I usually also carry their hand held video games...
It sounds like disaster right????
Let me tell you, it is!!!

As many moms know and women for that matter, a purse turns from a fashion statement to a carry-all-fit-all bag, lol.  I should know, I do that everyday.
When I have to search in the rain for my car or house keys it gets me AND the kids upset, lol, they tell me I need to clean out my purse all the time, lol.
The thing is, that I DO clean it out!!!
With so many kids and an always on the go lifestyle, some things are a have-to in my purse.

I had the opportunity to review a great product, it's called Joey Junior Purse Organizer
My husband was laughinng at me at first, he said that I couldn't help my purse out of the misery it lives in, ;)
So I was excited to try out both sizes of their organizers...

Yes, I took before and after pictures, lol.  Don't judge my purse or you'll hurt my feelings ;)
Since the pictures I took were not of great quality, I will show you  pictures from Joey Junior Company...

Yes, this is what my purse looks like if you add candy, toys, crayons, and everything else I can find ;)
and this is how clean my purse looked after wards, let me tell you, the difference is amazing!!!!

I am so glad I got to try the small Joey Junior purse organizer as well, so I got to see the difference in both, and let me tell you, IT WORKS!!!
My small purse was just as "crowded" as my other ones, and this is pretty much how it ended up ;)
The small Joey purse organizer is great!!!

Let me explain a little more, I hate wallets!!!
I can't stand having to take out a wallet from my purse, have strangers look at what I have in my wallet, and run the possibility of also LOOSING the wallet, which if you ask my Hubby loosing and me go hand in hand, lol.
With the small Joey purse organizer, I was able to fit all of my children's crayons, small pencils, gift cards, money, i.d's, and business cards in the 4 pockets, as well as put my son's and my bottles of medicine inside of the gap (under the pockets)
The before and after was amazing!!!
It was so easy to go into the Military Base and not have to reach over, take out a wallet, and an i.d, I just reached into my purse and into the pocket and there it was, taa-dahhh!!! lol

The Joey Junior purse organizers have really helped take chaos out of the equation, not only can I find things faster, but I no longer have to stand in the rain while I go on a hunting expedition for my keys ;)

To share even greater news, Since I LOVE the Joey Junior purse organizers so much, they are joining my
Mother's Day Gift Guide ;)

Ok ok, so that news wasn't enough for you yet?
Joey Junior Products company have agreed to give away one Joey Junior purse organizer to a lucky reader ;)

Dapper Snappers Toddler Belt Review & Giveaway

As you know I have kids in all age ranges, lol, but the two youngest are the ones I constantly had to be reminding to find the belt, pull the pants up, and even hear songs from the other kids :
"I see london , I see France, I see "so & so's" underpants!"  lol

As many of you know, Izeah has sensory Issues, and many days even the lightest of touches bothers him so much.  I can not get him to wear traditional belts, since they are too hard, or too tight, or too stretchy, or he just simply can not unbuckle them fast enough when he has to go, and yes, I have been called to the school many times to take him a set of clothes to change into.  So for a couple of months now, I send him to school with no belt.  His pants sag since his weight has been going down lately, once he comes home i start with the constant nagging about having his pants pulled up, until he gets tired and changes into his pj's.

I had an opportunity review Dapper Snappers, and I was so excited!!!
Why?  (you ask)
I'm glad you asked, lol, See, Dapper Snappers are not your traditional front-buckle-accident-calling belts, lol.
Dapper Snappers is a company that makes awesome Toddler belts. Since Izeah has been using his Dapper Snapper, he hasn't had any accidents while wearing pants that need belts.  He is able to go to the potty and not have to worry about having an "accident" because he couldn't unbuckle his belt in time.  As a mom of little ones, I HIGHLY recommend Dapper Snappers because not only does it avoid your child the embarrassment of an accident, but it gives them the pleasure of knowing they are "big kids" and can go potty without worries ;)  As an extra reassurance for moms, there are no more: "pants on the ground"
The Dapper Snapper:
  • Is recommended for ages 9 mo-5 yrs and one size fits all.
  • *Eliminates the need for adjustable waistband pants.
  • *Does not need to be removed for diaper changes.
  • *Does not impede potty training.
  • *Is adjustable to 4 sizes.
  • *Components (snaps, thread, elastic, everything), are made in the USA.
  • *Is invented by a mom!
  • *Is CPSIA compliant
Perfect for children who are potty training, children who have a hard time with the buckle belts.   They have Dapper Snappers in all colors, for boy and girls!!! It's just too cute.
A Dapper Snapper is a toddler belt that you can put on the back belt loops of your child's pants, no more potty accidents  because they couldn't get the belt off in time, no more struggles with undoing the belt to change a diaper.
Just snap the Dapper Snapper to size that is perfect for your child, and that's it!
AWESOME!!!!
Dapper Snappers Definitely have Two Thumbs up from this mommy ;)
Dapper Snappers has a discount code for 15% OFF of your purchase!!! COOL!!!
If you want to take advantage of this great offer, go to the homepage here and when you put your order in,
enter the code: MM815off    expires 3/31/10

Guess what!?!?!?!?  Dapper Snappers has offered a lucky reader TWO Dapper Snappers in the color of their choice ;)  I know, I was excited as well, lol ;)

2nd Annual Underwater Parks Day Event!

As many of you know, we were invited to attend The 2nd Annual Underwater Parks Day celebrations at SEA LIFE Aquarium by Legoland ;)

Let me start by telling you that it was a wonderful experience.

We arrived on time, yes I know, it's not normal for us to arrive on time, but we did it!  We were so excited to go, we had never gone to the SEA LIFE Aquarium before.

We walked up to the entrance and we were greeted by the "ticket-taker" as my son called her lol.  She spoke to the kids, and got them even more excited.  She showed the kids some scratch off cards that they have at the entrance, she told the kids that as they go through the entire Aquarium, there are question areas for them to read, and answer on their scratch off cards.  She told them that at the end of their tour, if they turn in the card at the gift shop, they get a special "expert" badge if they get all of the answers correct.  WE all got excited, lol.

You then have to wait for a group to form and you are all let inside to a "holding area", the kids were so excited  because it just has you anticipating what's next.  In the section we went into, there is a video that plays where you are welcomed and it shows you some great clips.

The doors opens and WOW!  there is a slide and a bridge and a wall aquarium tank
The kids had so much fun, they didn't want to move along, lol.  Once I got their attention with the first trivia question, they rushed to read it, it was very nice to see them helping the little ones with the answers.

We moved along through different sections of the Aquarium, Izeah which seems to be "soothed" by water or sea life, was just loving every single display.   They have these plaques called "Fin Facts" they teach you something about a specific sea life fact, I loved them, lol, I was so excited to find every single one throughout the entire aquarium ;)

The kids got to make a take-home habitat for an animal of their choice.
All the kids loved the different places where they can pet the different sea animals, but I think Izeah was EXTRA happy about that, he was asking tons of questions and he pet every single thing he could.  He stood there for almost an entire hour just petting a seastar.

Our local ocean conservation organizations that were there: Batiquitos Lagoon Foundation, Coastkeeper, I Love A Clean San Diego, Ocean Discovery Institute, San Diego Oceans Foundation and San Elijo State Beach.  They had booths and activities for The Underwater Parks Day event at SEA LIFE Aquarium.  They gace all of the kids a paper at the antrance to the booths, and if you got a stamp from all of the booths, you turn it in at the desk for a prize.
The kids got to make a button to pin on their shirts, see animals in jar and the effects of pollution, they got to make it "rain" on a plastic mold of a city so they can see where trash and hazardous materials end up.  They did learn, and they had a great time.  At the end of it, they cashed their stamped card for a sticker, and a bookmarker that when they are done using it, they can plant it and it has flower seeds embedded inside.  AWESOME!!!

EVERYONE LOVED the underwater tunnel, even Daddy....
They found The Lost City of Atlantis!

WE ALL had a WONDERFUL time, The entire day was a learning adventure.
When we were done inside of the Aquarium, which by the way was almost closing time, time flies when you're having fun ;)
The kids turned in their scratch off cards at the gift shop for a "expert" badge.

I can not express enough the fun the entire Family had during this event.
Want to know my Favorite part of the whole day?!?!!?

Izeah, (which if you read the sidebar, has autism) had a wonderful time, his ADHD and anxiety were completely under control that day.  The water is his "zone", staring at the sea animals for hours is so therapeutic for him,
While he was sitting here, watching the Lost City of Atlantis, he said

'Mommy, I LOVE it here, this is MY dream come true"

I just cried, he had never "loved" a place as much as this before!

If you have not visited SEA LIFE Aquarium before, please do so, I HIGHLY recommend it!
The price is extremely affordable, even for our large family, the things the entire Family will learn will last for years to come, The best part, is the wonderful memories you will have.

The SEA LIFE Aquarium definitely has my Seal of Approval!!!!

My Family received admission tickets to enjoy the festivities.

Ghirardelli Chocolates make me smile ;)

I am glad to be able to share my LOVE of chocolates with you, but today it's not just any kind of chocolate...
It's Ghirardelli ;)

I recently had the privilege of tasting their new line of yummy chocolate squares ;)
Ghirardelli Squares milk & peanut butter chocolate

ohh it is absolutely delicious, it's not just regular peanut butter, it has roasted pieces of peanuts!  The peanut butter is very creamy and shame on you if you don't already know how creamy and smooth the chocolate itself is ;)

This is definitely going on my Valentine's Day list for gifts that ROCK! ;)  Ghirardelli has sent me several coupons for friends and family, they are for $1.50 off.  The coupons are great because it leaves you paying around $2.00 a bag, yes it's awesome, I know.  PERFECTLY in time for Valentine's day, yayy!

I chose to share my love of the chocolate with my readers and friends ;)  If you would like for me to mail you a coupon, e-mail me your address and I will send it out ;)

Ghirardelli sent me some delicious chocolates and coupons in exchange for my opinion ;)

Free Museums on Tuesdays

I was asked to do a review on a wonderful program.

Here in San Diego, Ca, We have The beautiful and Historic Balboa Park.

It is such a beautiful Park, has a wide variety of Museums and restaurants.
The architecture of those buildings is just absolutely amazing, my 9 year old daughter loves to go and look at the buildings.

There are many events that go on in Balboa Park, but Tuesdays is an event all on it's own.

Every Tuesday there is a different list of Museums that are admission free for San Diego residents and Military Families.  It's called Residen't Free Tuesdays.

Since the kids are still on vacation, and mommy needed a break, I thought it would be a perfect opportunity for a Family Adventure.

Since on the 1st we went to The Ruben H. Fleet Science Center  I thought we would go to a different one today.
We went to The San Diego Natural History Museum.   They have an exhibit called "Fossil Mysteries"  ALL of the kids loved it, they went all over the 5 floors and even were amazed with the photograph exhibits that were taking place.

I encourage everyone to visit This beautiful park, The museums and all of the outside activities that go one, especially on weekends.
If you love photography, this is a definite place to go.  A hidden treasure near downtown.

New Years Day!

We had an invitation to a great event this morning, and though none of us wanted to wake up at 6am, since we went to bed at 2am, we still managed to get up, lol.

We got invited to a special event at The Ruben H. Fleet Center, it's a science museum.  It is such a cool place to go to as an adult and as a child.  They have so many hands on activities you can do, and an IMAX movie theater.

We had a great time, my son stole the weather news anchor, Joe Lizurra from KUSI news, and kept him for a while after he was done doing his segments, lol.

here are a few pictures of the kids, and hubs and my sculpture as well, lol.

these were the kids getting ready to destroy one of the buildings, lol, you will notice at the exhibit if you go, that half the fun is tearing the designs down, as that they did, lol

this was my design, lol

As soon as I am done with my uploading, I will post my review and a give a way for the Ruben H. Fleet center.  It really is an amazing place guys!

After that Daddy surprised the kids with a trip to eat out.    We had a gift card to a restaurant, and it was so nice to finally be able to g out to eat.  We had a nice meal and headed home, as always I am the last one in the house and daddy was already laying on the couch ready for a nap, lol.

I fussed a bit, but then everyone helped and we cleaned the whole house in about 2 hours, yay!

After that we were wide awake and just hung out for the rest of the day, the kids played with their Christmas gifts and watched t.v.
For dinner Daddy cooked steak, another surprise!

All in all, it was a great way to start the New Year!

I hope you all have been having a great New year so far ;)
